TARA PROJECT
They proposed us to work on "Fair Trade", a Workshop on the subject. The process would take four class hours.

The first day, they explained us the basics of "Fair Trade", on a second session they explained the details about an specific projec they were working with, "Tara".

Next class we planned the Questions to make to a responsible person of the project.Then we had a VIDEOCONFERENCE with MRS. SHARMA a responsible of the Tara project in India.

do you do?
The
aim of the project is to make Indian society more equal, and we
try to solve problems in India, as well as helping people to live in better conditions.
-Why
did you start this project?
We thought the situation had to change, therefore, they decided to act.
How
many people are working in it?
About
59 people are working in the office and about 1000 artisans doing
the products.
How
do you feel doing this?
In our opinion we are doing a really good job, because we provided
better life conditions for people.
-What
are the most popular products you sell?
The
most popular ones are clothes, and other utility products.
-How
do you make the distribution of your products?
We send the artisnal products to many countries such as Spain, Germany, Netherlands,
United States, UK and New Zeeland.
-What
is the aim of this project?
Basing
on the fair trade, our aim is to work against explotation, we work in
order to get medical and educational support to all the citizens.
-How
do employees feel their life has improved?
As
their life condition has improved relatively, they feel useful and
better.
-What
is the future of this project?
The
future of it is to expand conciousness to all the inhabitants of the planet.
Once we made the questions, the people from "Emaus" suggested us a contest to finish with the workshop. We had to make a video about Fair trade, They had to be short, just 3 minutes long.
